  • Group stages followed by single-elimination finals
  • Each team plays 5 group stage matches

Match Structure

Each match will run for 35 minutes:

  • 15-minute First Half of the Game
  • 5-minute break, includes time for no blocking
  • 15-minute Second Half of the Game

There will be:

  • 10 minutes between matches to support no blocking, or any delays

Tight scheduling — punctuality is essential

🧑‍⚖️ Refereeing Responsibilities

Dodgeball runs on community effort. Teams sitting out must provide players to referee.

Each court requires:

  • 1 Head Referee (Middle Section)
  • 2 Court Referees (One on each side of the court)
  • 1 Assistant Referee (Middle Section)

Ref Positions:

  • Head Ref and Assistant Ref opposite each other at center line
  • Court Refs diagonally across from each other
  • Head Referee has final decision on calls

Behaviour Expectations

Players

  • Know the WDBF rules before arrival
  • Respect referee calls
  • Demonstrate strong sportsmanship

Referees

  • Stay focused and engaged
  • Respect players
  • Officiate with fairness and energy

We have a tight schedule — efficient transitions and professional conduct will keep things flowing.
